Premium furniture makers, Neville Johnson, show off the inside details of their dressing space design, created exclusively for Rachel Stevens.
Neville Johnson has unveiled a beautifully bespoke dressing room designed in collaboration with Rachel Stevens. This design marks another meaningful milestone in Neville Johnson’s work with fashion-forward women like Rachel, Erica Davies and Lisa Snowdon, who sought to create more than just a beautiful wardrobe space.
These projects are about designing rooms that support daily routines, promote a sense of calm, and offer a place to pause in busy lives. At their core, they’re spaces created with intention, combining style and storage to foster wellbeing, clarity and everyday ease.
Rachel, who is widely recognised for her love of fashion and personal style, worked closely with one of Neville Johnson’s senior designers, Simon Tcherniak, to bring her vision to life. What began as an idea for a darker, moodier scheme evolved into a calming, light-filled dressing room, a change inspired by how Rachel wanted to feel in the space.
“Once we began the creative process, which was so fun and exciting, I realised I wanted to feel calm and serene,” Rachel explains. “Working with Neville Johnson was such a lovely, collaborative process, nothing was too much trouble, their ideas were amazing, and the whole thing just felt like a dream.”
At the heart of the design is Neville Johnson’s exclusive Henley door, a framed, fabric-clad style, with Rachel being the first to enjoy this new style. Open glass shelving, illuminated with integrated lighting, showcases Rachel’s enviable collection of Chanel and Hermès bags, alongside Manolo Blahnik heels and curated accessories.
Every element of the space was carefully considered and tailored to Rachel’s lifestyle, from pull-out accessory drawers for sunglasses and jewellery to triple-layer shoe storage and a ladder rail for extra-tall shelving. Neville Johnson’s attention to detail extended to measuring the lengths of Rachel’s clothing and counting her accessories to ensure the internal layout worked perfectly.
“Everything has a place, even things like sunglasses, jewellery, handbags, shoes. It made putting everything away so satisfying,” Rachel says. “To be able to get dressed in the morning or do a shoot and have everything ready to go, it’s just heaven.”
Rachel describes the overall experience as effortless and joyful, with a personal touch from the entire Neville Johnson team, from creative planning through to installation.
“The whole experience was honestly so lovely and easy from start to finish. The team really feel like a family” she adds. “Every time I come into this room, I feel my shoulders drop. It’s my sanctuary.”
This collaboration showcases Neville Johnson’s signature ability to fuse style and substance in a way that feels both luxurious and entirely personal, a space where high fashion meets high function.
